Banpresto Pokémon Gengar Tongue-Out Plush Backpack — Japan Prize, 44 cm

Mint-condition, ungraded Banpresto/Bandai Namco Pokémon Gengar plush backpack from a Japanese arcade-prize release. Measuring approximately 44 cm from the top spikes to the bottom of the tongue, this oversized design features Gengar’s expressive full-face artwork, sewn eyes and teeth, pointed ears, crown-like head spikes, and a separate pink fabric tongue extending from the front.

The backpack was used only as a display piece and remains in very good overall condition for its age. Stitching is intact with no major rips, tears, or visible stuffing loss. Light surface wear is present on the outer plush from display use. The adjustable purple shoulder straps include plastic sliders, and the rear features a zippered pocket for small items. The interior has limited capacity, making it best suited for light everyday items or convention essentials. No original box is included.

The attached Japanese tag identifies the item as an authentic Pokémon and Banpresto prize release with Bandai Namco licensing marks. As a crane-game prize rather than a widely distributed retail plush, this Gengar backpack is a less common collectible outside Japan. Gengar’s enduring popularity, unusual wearable format, and playful tongue-out expression make it especially appealing for Pokémon collections, cosplay displays, themed rooms, and fans of distinctive Japanese prize merchandise.
