If you’re a seller on Collektr, our primary goal is to support the growth of your business—whether it’s your full-time passion, a growing side hustle, or an occasional hobby. To ensure a high-quality experience for everyone on the platform and to protect you, your buyers, and Collektr, we’ve established seller policies.

These policies outline what can be sold, how items must be sold, live selling requirements, and the processes to follow after a sale. They are designed to create a seamless and trustworthy environment, helping you thrive while maintaining a positive experience for all users.

What can you sell on Collektr?

Prohibited and Restricted Items

At Collektr, we encourage sellers to offer a wide range of collectibles, creating a diverse and vibrant marketplace. However, certain items cannot be supported on our platform or may need to meet specific requirements to be sold. To ensure compliance, please review our Collektr Content Policy to understand what you can and cannot list on Collektr.

Counterfeit Items and Intellectual Property

Maintaining a fair and creative environment is key to Collektr’s mission. Sellers may not list counterfeit items or use another’s intellectual property (IP), such as images, videos, or branding, without proper authorization. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

Sellers are responsible for ensuring their activities comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including those related to taxes, consumer protection, data privacy, and intellectual property. This includes compliance in both the seller’s and buyer’s jurisdictions. While Collektr cannot provide legal advice, we encourage sellers to consult their own legal advisors if they have questions about how specific laws may apply to their business.

This section outlines the core legal and regulatory standards that Collektr complies with and expects all users — including buyers, sellers, and livestreamers — to adhere to while using our Services.

1. Compliance with Malaysian Laws

Collektr operates in full compliance with all relevant Malaysian legislation, including but not limited to:

The Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) — governing the collection, use, and safeguarding of personal data.
The Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 (CMA) — regulating online content, communications, and platform responsibilities.
The Child Act 2001 — ensuring the protection and welfare of minors on our platform.
The Consumer Protection Act 1999 — protecting the rights of consumers engaging in transactions through Collektr.
The Copyright Act 1987 and Intellectual Property (IP) laws — safeguarding the rights of content creators and IP holders.
The Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (AMLA) — preventing illicit financial activity and fraud.

2. Cross-Border Transactions and International Compliance

Users participating in cross-border activities must comply with all relevant export, import, and customs regulations in both their jurisdiction and the buyer’s jurisdiction.

How to Sell on Collektr

User Eligibility and Age Verification

To register as a seller in Collektr, the seller must be at least 18 years old.

By registering a seller account, users represent and warrant that they are 18 years of age or older.

Users under the age of 18 must obtain parental or guardian consent before creating a seller account and participating on the platform.

Collektr reserves the right to request proof of age or parental consent at any time and may suspend or terminate accounts that fail to meet these requirements.

Accurately Representation of Items

To help buyers make informed purchases, it is essential to provide an honest and detailed description of your items. This includes disclosing any flaws and showing the item from all angles. Misrepresentation of items may result in corrective actions, including being charged for any related costs.

Gambling, Betting, and Prohibited Promotions

Any form of gambling, betting, and prohibited promotional activities are strictly prohibited. Seller’s must review and comply with Collektr’s Prohibited & Restricted Content guideline.

Unboxing and Breaks

To maintain trust and transparency, we have specific requirements for selling sealed goods and boxes. For detailed guidelines, see our Content Policy.

Country of Operation

Sellers must operate from the country they registered in their Collektr account. This ensures compliance with local laws. Operating outside of the registered country without prior approval is prohibited. For a full list of supported countries, refer to our Supported Countries List.

Listing Guidelines

When listing items on Collektr, it’s important to follow our Listing Guidelines to ensure a seamless experience for all users.

Live Selling

Live selling is central to Collektr’s community. Sellers must remain actively engaged during livestreams by displaying items, interacting with buyers, or responding to questions. Shows displaying a blank or frozen screen or with no active engagement may be terminated or removed.

Irresponsible and Risky Conduct

At Collektr, safety is a top priority. To protect both sellers and the community, reckless or dangerous behavior during livestreams is strictly prohibited. If a seller becomes unable to manage their livestream due to such actions, the show will be removed immediately.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Engaging in life-threatening pranks or stunts, such as the unsafe use of props or weapons.
Incapacitation due to alcohol or drug use.
Streaming while operating a vehicle.
Any behavior resulting in a loss of control over the livestream.

While Collektr encourages creativity and self-expression, these actions pose significant risks to both host and audience, which will not be tolerated. Such conduct will result in immediate removal of the livestream and potential account penalties. Let’s work together to maintain a safe and enjoyable platform for everyone.

Smoking or Vaping Around Inventory

To maintain the quality of collectibles, smoking or vaping near inventory during live shows is strictly prohibited. This applies to all products, including auction items, sold items, and giveaway merchandise.

Post-Sale on Collektr?

Shipping Requirements

To ensure a positive experience for buyers, sellers are required to ship items within 2-4 days business days of the sale. Please package items carefully to ensure they arrive safely and on time. Make sure photos or videos are taken during packaging and delivery to provide clear evidence that the seller handled the items with care. This documentation can serve as proof of the item’s condition prior to shipping, protect against disputes, and reassure buyers of the seller’s professionalism and attention to detail. For more details, please refer to the Shipping Policy and Guideline. Delays exceeding the deadline without buyer consent may be deemed a breach of platform policies and subject to corrective action.

In some cases, extenuating circumstances or the nature of an item (e.g., customized goods like art pieces) may cause delays. If this applies, please notify us at [email protected] and include details about the delay. When listing such items, be sure to indicate they are customized in the product description.

Fulfillment, Cancellations & Refunds

Collektr aims to maintain a reliable and trustworthy platform. Sellers are expected to fulfill all orders and provide a positive experience for buyers. Sellers who fail to ship items, cancel a high percentage of orders, process frequent refunds, or maintain a low seller rating may receive warnings or account penalties.

Likewise, buyers are expected to honor their purchases. High rates of cancellations or refund requests may result in penalties or future denial of refunds. For any disputes, please contact [email protected].

Lost Reimbursement Policy

At Collektr, we are committed to ensuring trust and security for all users. Buyers may request a refund if an item is not received. Refund requests for lost items must be submitted through our email [email protected] within 48 hours and include relevant order details. Buyers may request a refund if an item is lost under the following circumstances:

Lost by the Seller: The seller fails to ship the item or misplaces it before handing it over to the courier.
Lost by the Courier: The item is lost during transit due to the courier’s handling.
Lost at the Pickup Point: The item is misplaced or goes missing at the designated pickup location before the buyer collects it.

Collektr will review each request on a case-by-case basis, and if the claim is approved, the buyer will be reimbursed for the purchase value. For more details, refer to our Return and Refund Policy.

All Bids & Purchases Are Binding

All bids and purchases on Collektr are binding. While buyers may request order cancellations, sellers are entitled to decline these requests. Similarly, sellers cannot cancel orders unless agreed by Collektr. If an issue arises with an order, please contact our support team at [email protected].

Information Disclosure

Maintaining a secure and trusted platform is our priority. To ensure this, sharing external links (except where authorised by Collektr or integrated within Collektr’s services), personal data such as social media account, phone number, email address and address that redirects the users outside of the Collektr platform is strictly prohibited. This includes links to other marketplaces, payment platforms, or personal websites.

All transactions, communications, and interactions must occur exclusively within Collektr to protect both buyers and sellers and to uphold our policies. Violations of this policy may result in corrective actions, including removal of listings or account suspension. For more details, refer to our Terms of Service.

Unoriginal Content & Copyright

At Collektr, maintaining originality and respecting intellectual property rights are fundamental to our platform’s integrity. Sellers are strictly prohibited from listing items or using content that violates copyright or intellectual property laws. This includes but is not limited to:

Using images, videos, or branding that do not belong to you or for which you lack explicit permission.
Replicating another creator’s original work without authorization.
Selling unlicensed reproductions, such as replicas of copyrighted collectibles, merchandise, or artwork.

Not a sale: Participation in Spin-the-Wheel, name callouts, or similar live-stream engagement features is not considered a purchase/sale. No order is created and no Item is sold under these features.
Refund inapplicable: As these activities do not constitute a sale (and no purchase occurs), refunds do not apply under this Return and Refunds Policy.
Prizes/entitlements: If a participant becomes eligible to purchase an Item or receives a prize/entitlement via these features, the subsequent purchase (if any) will be processed separately under the standard order, fulfilment, and refund rules of Return and Refunds Policy
