Collektr is committed to building a safe, trusted, and responsible platform, especially for our younger users. To ensure the safety and well-being of teens on Collektr, we’ve established the following policy based on industry best practices.
1. Minimum Age Requirement
- Users must be at least 12 years old to create a Collektr account.
- Users aged 12 to 17 may only participate with parental or legal guardian consent and supervision.
2. Account Ownership & Parental Involvement
- Accounts for users under 18 must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.
- All payment methods and bank details must be under the parent/guardian’s name.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for monitoring all activities, including purchases, sales, livestream participation, and shipping.
3. Livestream Participation
- Teen users are not allowed to host livestreams on their own.
- They may assist a parent or guardian during a livestream (e.g., presenting products) but may not appear unsupervised or operate the stream independently.
- Collektr reserves the right to restrict live access if unsafe or unsupervised teen activity is detected.
4. Buying & Selling Limitations
- Users under 18 can buy or sell on the platform only through a verified parent or guardian account.
- All transactions must follow Collektr’s terms and policies; misuse may lead to account suspension.
5. Privacy & Safety Protections
- Teen accounts will have default privacy and communication restrictions, including:
- Limited messaging access
- Disabled or restricted features such as video uploads or commenting (where applicable)
- Collektr reserves the right to review or restrict any account activity that may jeopardize teen safety or violate community standards.
6. Prohibited Content & Behavior
- Teen users (and all users) are strictly prohibited from engaging in or being exposed to:
- Inappropriate language or behavior during live shows
- Content involving gambling, adult material, or counterfeit items
- Solicitation or harassment
- Violations may lead to immediate account suspension or permanent removal, and where necessary, reported to relevant authorities.
7. Parental Controls & Monitoring
- Collektr strongly encourages parents to stay involved in their teen’s activity on the platform.
- We are working to introduce family or linked account features for better oversight and control.
