Collektr Certified Policy

1. Overview

All listings on the Collektr platform are subject to Collektr’s standard seller requirements, listing guidelines, and baseline quality checks before they go live. Collektr Certified is an additional, elevated tier of verification available for select items; it does not replace or imply the absence of those baseline protections on the rest of the platform.

Collektr Certified is Collektr’s priority screening and authentication program, designed to give buyers an extra layer of confidence on items that undergo hands-on inspection by Collektr’s authentication team.

Listings that successfully pass this enhanced verification process receive the Collektr Certified badge, displayed on the product image and product details page. The badge signifies that, in addition to meeting Collektr’s standard listing requirements, the item has been physically inspected and verified by Collektr’s authentication specialists before being listed for sale.

2. Relationship to Platform-Wide Standards

Every item listed on Collektr, certified or not, must meet Collektr’s baseline requirements, including accurate representation, seller accountability under platform policy, and eligibility for Collektr’s standard Buyer Protection. Collektr Certified does not lower, replace, or substitute these baseline standards; it sits on top of them.

Collektr Certified exists to:

• Give certain items, typically higher-value, higher-risk, or high-demand pieces, priority, hands-on screening beyond the platform baseline.
• Provide buyers with an added, visible signal of confidence on those specific listings.
• Recognize sellers and items that meet a higher bar of physical, in-person verification.

The absence of the Collektr Certified badge on a listing does not indicate that the item is unverified or that standard platform safeguards do not apply. It indicates only that the item has not (yet) gone through the additional hands-on certification process.

3. What Collektr Certified Verifies

Every Collektr Certified item undergoes a multi-point inspection by Collektr’s authentication specialists, including but not limited to:

• Verification of the item’s authenticity based on Collektr’s authentication standards.
• Physical inspection of the item’s condition.
• Verification that the listing title, description, images, and item details accurately represent the actual item.
• Confirmation that the item matches the information provided by the seller.
• Inspection for any obvious signs of tampering, restoration, or inconsistencies where reasonably identifiable.

Items that satisfy these enhanced verification requirements are awarded the Collektr Certified badge.

4. Collektr Certified Badge

Once approved:

• The Collektr Certified badge appears on the product images.
• The badge also appears within the product details page.
• Buyers may tap on the badge to learn more about the Collektr Certified program.
• The badge remains attached only to the verified listing.

5. Buyer Protection

Collektr’s standard Buyer Protection and applicable platform policies apply to all purchases on Collektr, regardless of certification status.

When purchasing a Collektr Certified item specifically, buyers additionally benefit from:

• The assurance that the item has been physically inspected by Collektr’s authentication team before listing, on top of standard listing checks.
• The same secure payment processing that applies platform-wide.

6. Scope of Certification

Collektr Certified confirms that, at the time of inspection:

• The inspected item matched the listing information.
• The item satisfied Collektr’s enhanced authentication and verification standards, in addition to the platform’s baseline listing requirements.

Collektr Certified does not:

• Guarantee future market value or investment performance.
• Replace grading performed by professional grading companies (e.g. PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC, etc.).
• Guarantee that an item will receive any specific grading result if submitted for grading.
• Cover damage or alterations occurring after verification has been completed.
• Imply that non-certified listings on Collektr have not been subject to Collektr’s standard platform checks.

7. Revocation of Certification

Collektr reserves the right to remove the Collektr Certified badge if:

• New information indicates the item no longer meets certification standards.
• The listing is materially modified after certification.
• Fraudulent information or misleading representations are discovered.
• The certification was granted based on inaccurate or incomplete information.

Revocation of the Collektr Certified badge affects the certification status of that listing only. It does not by itself affect the listing’s standing under Collektr’s general platform policies, which are addressed separately under those policies.

8. Limitation of Liability

While Collektr applies reasonable care and industry best practices during the verification process, Collektr Certified represents Collektr’s professional assessment based on the information and physical condition of the item at the time of inspection.

The certification should not be interpreted as:

• An unconditional guarantee of authenticity or future condition.
• A statement about the verification status of any other listing on the platform.

Collektr’s liability remains subject to the limitations set out in the Collektr Terms of Service and other applicable platform policies.
