Policy 16.0

Collektr Grading Policy

This Grading Policy governs all grading submissions made through Collektr.

By submitting items to Collektr for grading, creating a grading order, making payment, or delivering or shipping any item to Collektr, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below. This Grading Policy forms part of Collektr’s Terms of Service. If there is any inconsistency, Collektr’s Terms of Service shall prevail to the extent of that inconsistency, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Collektr offers grading services under two distinct handling structures, depending on the grading company selected.

1. GENERAL GRADING TERMS (APPLICABLE TO ALL SUBMISSIONS)

1.1 Customer Responsibilities

All submitted items must be authentic to the best of the customer’s knowledge, lawfully owned or submitted with the owner’s authority, unaltered unless accurately disclosed, and accurately declared.

Declared values, card details, item descriptions, ownership information and selected service tiers must be complete, accurate and current. Customers are responsible for any loss, delay, upcharge or other consequence arising from inaccurate or incomplete information.

Customers are responsible for proper packaging and shipment to Collektr. Risk of loss or damage remains with the customer until Collektr confirms physical receipt of the item at Collektr HQ or a Collektr Experience Center.

Collektr reserves the right to refuse, delay, suspend, return or cancel submissions that are incomplete, inaccurate, unsafe, unlawful, fraudulent, counterfeit, altered without disclosure, deemed high-risk, or otherwise unsuitable for processing. Any return, storage, shipping or administrative cost arising from such action may be charged to the customer to the extent permitted by law.

1.2 Pre-Grading Disclosure

Collektr may perform pre-grading assessments, intake checks, photographing, condition checks, centering checks and other operational or quality-control checks.

Pre-grading is not a guarantee, promise, authentication opinion, valuation, or estimate of the final grade.

Final grades, authentication results, labels, encapsulation decisions and all grading outcomes are determined solely by the grading company under its applicable standards and policies.

1.3 No Grade or Value Guarantee

Collektr does not guarantee grading outcomes, turnaround times, authentication, encapsulation, or post-grading market value.

Grading results are final and governed by the grading company’s standards and policies. Customers bear all market, valuation and investment risk associated with a grading submission.

2. PSA & CGC GRADING

Collektr – Direct Handling & Official Dealer

2.1 Scope of PSA Service

For PSA submissions:

    • Submission preparation
    • Direct submission to PSA
    • Return handling and customer coordination
  • No third-party submission intermediaries are used for the PSA submission route, except service providers reasonably required for logistics, payment, insurance, customs or operational support.
  • Final grading authority rests exclusively with PSA.

For CGC submissions, the applicable Order flow will state whether Collektr handles the route directly or through a grading partner. Unless Collektr expressly confirms otherwise in writing, Collektr does not represent that it is a CGC dealer. The applicable direct-handling or partner-handling terms will apply.

2.4 PSA Handling, Risk & Custody

Customers are responsible for:

  • Shipping items to Collektr
  • Accurate declared values
  • Shipping insurance (strongly recommended)
  • All applicable fees, upcharges, taxes, duties, storage and clearance charges

Collektr is not responsible, to the maximum extent permitted by law, for:

  • PSA grading decisions or processing timelines
  • Market value changes after grading
  • Courier delays or loss/damage outside Collektr’s custody
  • Actions, omissions, delays or decisions of PSA or other third parties outside Collektr’s reasonable control

Custody transfers to Collektr only upon confirmed receipt by Collektr at Collektr HQ or a Collektr Experience Center. Custody transfers away from Collektr upon confirmed handover to PSA, a courier, the customer, or the customer’s authorised representative, as applicable.

2.5 PSA Issues & Reporting

  • Any issues related to PSA slabs, labels, apparent condition, fulfilment or packaging must be reported to Collektr within 7 days of receipt, together with supporting photographs where reasonably available.
  • Collektr will reasonably assist in escalating matters to PSA where applicable.
  • Outcomes are subject to PSA’s review and policies.

This reporting period does not limit rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.

3. BECKETT ONLY

Via Oxley Grading Partner

3.1 Scope of Partner Handling

For Beckett submissions:

  • Collektr acts as a facilitator only.
  • Submissions are handled through Collektr’s grading partner, Oxley Grading.
  • Collektr is not a direct dealer for Beckett unless expressly confirmed otherwise in writing.

By submitting a Beckett order, the customer authorises Collektr to provide the customer’s relevant order information and transfer possession of the collectibles to Oxley Grading and other service providers reasonably required to process the order.

3.2 Beckett Submission Flow

1. Customer Submission

Customers submit their items directly to Collektr HQ.

2. Intake & Handover

Collektr performs basic intake checks and consolidation, after which the items are forwarded or handed over to Oxley Grading.

3. Beckett Submission (Handled by Oxley Grading)

From this point onward, Oxley Grading manages the grading process, including:

  • Submitting the collectibles to Beckett Grading Services (BGS)
  • Liaising directly with Beckett throughout the grading process
  • Coordinating the return shipment back to Collektr

4. Upcharge Handling (If Applicable)

If Beckett, Oxley Grading or another relevant service provider applies any additional fees or upcharges:

  • The customer will be notified where reasonably practicable.
  • Payment must be settled before the graded collectibles can be released.
  • Collektr may pause processing, delivery, collection or release until all outstanding amounts are paid.

5. Return to Collektr

Once grading is completed, items are returned from Oxley Grading to Collektr.

6. Fulfilment

Customers may choose to:

  • Have their graded collectibles shipped to them; or
  • Collect them from Collektr (where applicable).

7. Return to Collektr

Items are returned to Collektr.

8. Customer Delivery or Pickup

Items are shipped to the customer or prepared for self-pickup.

3.3 Partner Timelines

  • Handling and consolidation: 3–7 business days
  • Grading timelines depend on the selected grading company and service tier
  • Return logistics depend on partner and courier schedules

All timelines are estimates only. Collektr does not guarantee completion or return dates and is not responsible for delays outside its reasonable control.

3.4 Partner Risk Allocation

Collektr is not responsible, to the maximum extent permitted by law, for:

  • Decisions, delays, or grading outcomes determined by Beckett or other grading companies
  • Handling, processing, or errors occurring while items are under Oxley Grading’s or another third party’s custody
  • Courier-related issues outside Collektr custody

Customers acknowledge that partner submissions involve additional handling stages beyond Collektr’s direct control.

4. SHIPPING, INSURANCE & CUSTODY

Custody transfers:

  • To Collektr upon confirmed receipt at Collektr HQ or Collektr Experience Center
  • Away from Collektr upon confirmed handover to courier, PSA, Oxley Grading, another grading company, the customer or the customer’s authorised representative, as applicable

Customers are responsible for:

  • Declaring accurate values
  • Securing appropriate insurance coverage
  • Proper packaging and delivery of collectibles to Collektr

Collektr maintains intake documentation for internal verification purposes. Collektr is not an insurer of collectibles. Any protection, compensation or claim available from a courier, insurer, grading company or partner is subject to that third party’s terms, process and limits. Collektr may reasonably assist with a claim but does not guarantee its outcome.

5. DUTIES, TAXES & GOVERNMENT CHARGES

Customers acknowledge and agree that any customs duties, import taxes, sales taxes, GST, SST, handling fees, clearance charges, storage fees, upcharges, or any other charges imposed by grading companies, partners, relevant government authorities or customs agencies in connection with the grading submission or its return shipment shall be borne solely by the customer.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Customs duties
  • Import sales tax (SST)
  • Import GST or any equivalent taxes (where applicable)
  • Customs clearance or handling charges
  • Grading-company or partner upcharges
  • Storage, return-shipping or administrative charges reasonably incurred because of unpaid amounts or customer delay
  • Any other fees imposed by the relevant authorities during import or export clearance

Where such charges are imposed, Collektr reserves the right to collect the applicable amount from the customer before releasing or delivering the graded collectibles.

Failure to settle outstanding charges may result in delays in the release, shipment, processing or collection of graded items. Collektr shall not be liable for additional costs, storage fees or delays arising from the customer’s failure to make payment.

This provision shall be read together with and forms part of Collektr’s Terms of Service, including but not limited to the Fees and Payments section, which provides that users are responsible for paying any applicable taxes, duties, fees, or other government-imposed charges associated with using Collektr’s services.

6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Collektr shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential losses, including loss of profit, opportunity, goodwill or anticipated appreciation in value.
  • Collektr does not act as an insurer for collectibles.
  • Collektr is not liable for a grading company’s or grading partner’s decisions, delays, errors, acts or omissions, or for loss or damage occurring outside Collektr’s custody, except to the extent caused by Collektr’s negligence, wilful misconduct or breach of applicable law.
  • Liability, if any, is limited to the Service Fee actually paid to Collektr for the specific submission giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

7. POLICY CHANGES

  • Collektr reserves the right to update, modify or replace this Grading Policy at any time by publishing the updated version on the Collektr platform.
  • The updated policy will apply from its stated effective date.
  • Continued use of Collektr’s grading services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
  • Changes will not retrospectively alter an accepted submission unless required by law, necessary to address security, fraud, technical or operational issues, or agreed by the customer.
